Thriving in a bendy body
Are you busy, hypermobile, and pretty much over all of the “just tough it out” advice?
SAME!
I’m Jess, and I’m a mom, entrepreneur, and human with hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I created this site to share the tips, tricks, and product recommendations that have made my bendy life easier.
I juggle kids, building a business, and managing a body that sometimes acts like it’s held together with duct tape and dreams. I created Bendy Baddies because most so-called “solutions” for hypermobility are either impractical, ineffective, or written as though we have three free hours a day just to rehab.
Newsflash: We don’t have that kind of time! We need support that fits real life.
Why I started Bendy Baddies
What you’ll find here
Over time, I’ll be building a collection of the gear, habits, and small tweaks that add up.
Everything I recommend on this site has been tested in school pickup lines, on neighborhood walks, in 8-10 hour blocks in front of a computer, and in the middle of the night (or morning, or afternoon, or any time) when your joints stage a coup.
This includes:
Product roundups that are cute and functional
How-to guides for bracing, taping, pacing, and pain-smart routines
Work and home setups that don’t wreck your neck, back, or wrists
Mom life hacks: car seats, strollers, babywearing, and playtime without flare-ups
Travel and life-on-the-go tips so you can do the thing and still feel like a person
How I review
Real-life testing, not unboxing theater
Comfort, stability, and “how annoying is this to use” ratings
Pros, cons, and who it’s truly for
Alternatives when a cheaper or cuter option exists
This is not medical advice
I am not a doctor, and I’m not here to tell you that your providers are wrong. Nothing that I say on this site is intended to be medical advice. I’m just a woman on the internet, sharing my experiences about what has worked for me.
ALWAYS run anything I’m saying here through your healthcare team, especially if you’re dealing with underlying conditions.
A note on affiliates
Some links here are affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you buy through them. It doesn’t change your price, and I only recommend what I would personally use.
There are a lot of crappy products out there - I won’t recommend anything to you that hasn’t actually helped me.
